A poor performance from Bass

Sadly it was a match to forget for Bassett, as they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at home to the newly named Nalgo Lionesses.

A poor, sloppy start from Bassett found themselves under threat from pressure of Nalgo's best player and with some defensive work to do and a few saves from Chloe the score was kept at 0-0 going into the first quarter.

Sadly the pressure up top came to nothing as Bassett failed to deliver any real threat in the game. And the only goal of the game came from a ball forward and the striker putting the ball in past Parkin.

In the third quarter Bassett began to finally get some passes forward however relied on saves from Parkin to keep them in the game at 1-0. Turnball, Mason and Norton-Barrett worked hard in midfield all morning but sadly Bassett's first shot of the game went off target.

A match to forget for Bassett that morning as sadly a middle of the park game saw Nalgo just nick the result 1-0. Disappointing for Bass but they look to go again next week against Trowbridge Wanderers.
