Royal Wootton Bassett Town produced another positive performance as they played their penultimate preseason friendly against Pucklechurch Sports. However it wasn't enough to prevent defeat as Pucklechurch triumphed 3-2 in an entertaining contest.

The second of three friendly fixtures against tier five opponents, Bassett produced another good display and were level with Pucklechurch at the break after goals from Rosie Burridge and Delly Hooper.

Youngster Burridge scored again for Bassett in the second half. But Pucklechurch - who finished last season as undefeated champions of the South West Regional Women's Football League Division One Eastern - ultimately came out on top thanks to further goals from Amy Jefferies and Lilly Farr.

Bassett finish their preseason preparations next week when they host Oxford City at the Sustain Stadium before their season opener away against near neighbours Purton two weeks later.
