Powell is a young goalkeeper entering her third season in senior football. She has great shotstopping ability and is also confident with the ball at her feet. Boasting a lot of talent and potential, she claimed the number one jersey early in the 2021-22 season season and never looked back, featuring sixteen times while earning both the Players' Player and Manager's Player of the Year awards for her excellent performances. Powell went on to make another 22 appearances last season, starting all but three games. She has also actively contributed towards coaching some of the goalkeepers in the club's girls' teams, offering her expertise and guidance.

Joining from Swindon Town, Cox is a young full back who can also play at centre half. Cox isn’t afraid of a strong challenge and can normally handle pacey attackers whilst also being a handful going forward herself. A member of Swindon’s 2021-22 Under 16 Wiltshire County Girls’ League double-winning side, she progressed into senior women’s football last season, appearing 18 times for Swindon’s Development side. Cox also played for Ashton Keynes' all-conquering Gloucester County Girls' League Under 16s side in 2021-22.

Fraser is a strong, technically gifted full back who joins Bassett this season from Swindon Town. Fraser featured for Swindon in each of the past three seasons. In the Covid-shortened 2020-21 campaign, she played six times for the Robins’ Development team, scoring once. She then spent most of the 2021-22 season with Swindon’s First Team, playing 14 times in the tier four FA Women’s National League Division One South West before splitting time between the First and Development teams last year.

Hurd is a centre half who joins Bassett this season from Swindon Town. A strong defender who enjoys the physical side of the game, Hurd is nonetheless a talented player when on the ball too, possessing the confidence and ability to bring the ball out from defence. Although mostly featuring for the Robins’ Development side, Hurd made her first team debut in 2017-18, playing twice in the tier three FA Women’s National League Premier Division South. After Swindon’s relegation she played four times in 2020-21 before going on to feature five times last season. She has also played for the University of East London Women’s First Team during her studies.

A Bassett stalwart, Jefferies has been with the club for close to a decade and a half having initially started off playing in Bassett’s Girls’ section. Immensely loyal, she has featured for the Women’s First Team in every season since reformed in 2009-10, helping Bassett climb up from Division Three of the Gloucestershire County Women’s League. She is the club’s all-time leading Women’s appearance maker and holds the distinction of having appeared in every single Women’s FA Cup game Bassett have played. Club captain, Jefferies leads by example from defence. While a solid centre back, she is more than willing to step out from defence and start attacks and is also a threat from set pieces. Ultra-reliable and more than happy to get stuck in with the ugly side of the game, Jefferies is another player who will serve as a role model for Bassett's younger players on and off the pitch. Jefferies is still a quality player too, winning her fifth Player of the Year trophy last season. In Bassett's 2018-19 double-winning campaign, her performances earned her both the Players' Player and Manager's Player of the Year awards, while she picked up the Players' Player prize in 2013-14 and 2014-15. She also briefly filled in as Player-Manager during the 2020-21 campaign.

Johnson is a talented young defender who joined Bassett last season from Swindon Town. Johnson was part of Swindon’s 2021-22 Under 16 Wiltshire County Women's and Girls' League double-winning side, earning Players' Player of the Year. She also played for Ashton Keynes' all-conquering Gloucester County Girls' League Under 16s side in 2021-22. Johnson then featured twice for Swindon's Development side last season before joining Bassett. Playing 15 times and starting all but one game, she formed a strong partnership in the heart of Bassett's defence with Laura Jefferies.

Kirk is a talented defender who is entering her fifth season with the club. A player who reads the game exceptionally well and possesses a calmness which is rare in a player so young, she performed impressively in twelve appearances in the 2019-20 campaign – her first in senior football. Two seasons ago she featured eleven times with ten starts before experiencing an injury-shortened campaign last year in which she played just three times. Now on the path to recovery, Kirk will be hoping to return to the strong form she showed before being sidelined.

Nightingale is a versatile player capable of playing in either defence or midfield who joins Bassett this season. She brings significant experience playing at a higher level too having spent most of the last decade with sides in the FA Women’s National League. Nightingale has played a large part of her career with Swindon Town, enjoying spells with the Robins between 2014-15, 2017-19 and 2021-23. She has also featured for Forest Green Rovers (2015-16), Swindon Supermarine (2016-17) and Keynsham Town (2019-21).

A player who has come through Bassett's youth section, O'Nions is a hard-working left-sided player with plenty of potential. O'Nions made her first foray into senior women's football at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, gaining experience in a series of friendly fixtures. She gave a good account of herself in those matches, and she went on to feature 13 times in competitive action in 2021-22 before making 17 appearances last season, including 13 starts. A student of the game and a valuable contributor to the club, she has also served as a coach for Bassett’s girls’ teams as well as at the Saturday morning Wildcats' sessions. This season O’Nions will be looking to continue her development with Bassett as a player, while also studying at university.

Entering her sixth season with Bassett team, Smith is a highly talented central defender who has come through the club's youth section. She made her Women's First Team debut towards the end of the 2018-19 season after turning 16 and proved to be a vital player during Bassett's title run-in. Smith then appeared 13 times in 2019-20, 5 times in the curtailed 2020-21 campaign, 15 times in 2021-22 and in five games last season. An accomplished defender who combines the physical side of the game with an assured calmness in possession, she will be looking to further continue her development with Bassett while also studying at Loughborough University.

Having joined in 2014-15, Egerton is one of Bassett's longest-serving players. She is a versatile player who will play anywhere she is asked and will always give 100 percent for her team. A dynamic, energetic midfielder, Egerton will also chip in with a few goals and assists. In 2019-20, she was a hugely impressive performer. An ever-present, she scored twice and was joint winner of the team's Players' Player of the Year award prize. She previously won that award in 2015-16 and 2016-17 and is a three-time winner of Bassett's Manager's Player of the Year prize (2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17). Injuries limited her appearances in 2021-22, but Egerton bounced back last year, playing 21 times and scoring twice. Overall, since Bassett entered the South West Regional Women’s Football League in 2017-18, she has played 91 times, registering 12 goals.

Goodright is a midfielder who joins Bassett this season from Swindon Town. She is a player who, despite still being young, possesses plenty of experience playing at a higher level. Having featured largely for their Development team, Goodright was primarily a Swindon’s First Team player in 2022-23, appearing 19 times and scoring once in the tier four FA Women’s National League Division One South West. A goalscoring midfielder, Goodright found the net eight times for Swindon’s Development team in 2017-18 and four times a year later. Her strong performance also earned her first taste of first team football, making 14 appearances across those two campaigns. She was then named Swindon’s Development team Manager’s Player of the Year in 2019-20 after registering five goals in ten games in a season in which she also made a further two two first team appearances. Goodright continued to mainly feature for the Robins’ Development side over the next two seasons, scoring twice in six games in 2020-21 and three times in 16 appearances in 2021-22 when she also played in five first team games.

Kennedy is a talented young central midfielder who is entering her second full season with Bassett’s Women’s First Team. She enjoyed a standout 2022-23 campaign in which she was Bassett’s joint-leading appearance maker, playing 23 times and earning the Manager’s Player of the Year award. Kennedy made her Women’s First Team debut at the end of the 2021-22 season, making two appearances from the bench. She was in and out of the starting eleven at the beginning of last season, but quickly established a starting role thanks to her performances.

Sykes is a cultured central midfielder player who returned to Bassett three seasons ago after a serious injury and university commitments kept her from playing for the club in the 2019-20 campaign. She is a player who loves to get stuck in and impose herself on a game, possesses an eye for a pass, is capable of playing at a high tempo for 90 minutes and can also conjure up a goal when needed. Sykes first featured for Bassett in 2016-17, starring for the club's Wiltshire County Girls' League Under 16 Division title winners. She made the step up to the Women's First Team a year later and earned Bassett's Players' Player of the Year award in her debut season. She continued to play a key role a year later, scoring two goals in Bassett's South West Women's Football League Eastern Division and Wiltshire County Cup double-winning campaign. Following her injury, Sykes returned to play five times in 2020-21, before appearing 17 times in 2021-22 and 12 times last season, scoring one goal. Overall, she has played 72 times for Bassett.

A long-serving player who started in Bassett's Girls' section and first featured for the Women's First Team as long ago as the 2009-10 season, Topping is a reliable, clever footballer who is neat and tidy in and out of possession. A true team player, all but five of whose appearances in the last three seasons seasons came as a substitute, she is a midfielder who can be trusted to cover various roles and follow instructions brilliantly. Topping can also be relied upon to chip in with some key goals too – in Bassett's 2018-19 double-winning campaign, she netted six times, adding four goals in 2019-20 and two in 2021-22. She has also recently featured for Highworth Town in the Wiltshire County Women's League, scoring four times in seven appearances three seasons ago.

A long-serving player, Baker is a quick forward player who possesses a great ability to hold up the ball and combines well with her teammates. Capable of finding the back of net, Baker's work out of possession is just as important as she can always be relied upon to give her best effort for the team and is not afriad of getting stuck in. Having achieved a best haul of eight goals in the 2018-19 campaign, she will be aiming to grab some more this season. Baker has been with Bassett since the 2016-17 season, scoring five goals as Bassett finished runners-up in Gloucestershire County Women's League Division One and lifted the league cup. While netting just twice a season later - Bassett's first in the South West Women's Football League, Baker enjoyed her best season in front of goal in 2018-19, scoring eight times. Over the past two seasons she has scored four goals in 32 appearances. Overall, since Bassett entered the South West Regional Women’s Football League in 2017-18, she has played 50 times.

Burridge is an exciting young attacking midfielder who joins Bassett this season. A player who knows how to find the back of the net, she joins from Ashton Keynes Youth, where she starred over the course of the past two seasons for their successful Under 16s side. In 2021-22 she scored ten times as her side finished runners-up in the Gloucester County Girls' League, before firing a hugely impressive 26 goals as her team went one better last season. She has also represented Highworth Town Under 16s where she netted four times in six games last season.

Davies is a prolific young centre forward who is entering her fifth season with Bassett. An adventurous striker who is not afraid to take people on and is a superb finisher, she returns to Bassett on a permanent basis after a brief spell with tier three Cheltenham Town last season. Demonstrating her scoring prowess, Davies has netted 56 goals in just 32 games for Bassett. She enjoyed a stunning breakout campaign in 2021-22, registering 39 goals in 18 games while earning her side's Supporters' Player of the Year award. That season was an important one for her as she finally established - and more than justified - a starting spot. In 2019-20, she featured in three competitive fixtures for the club, scoring one goal in a cup victory over Middlezoy Rovers. She then spent the 2020-21 campaign on loan at Melksham Town where she netted six times. After her superb 2021-22 season, Davies scored 17 goals in eleven appearances for Bassett last year. With Cheltenham in the FA Women’s Nation League Southern Premier Division she featured five times, scoring once.

Elliott is a forward with a real engine, a desire to work hard and the ability to find the back of the net when it matters. She is a player who has been with the club for a number of years, having first featured for the club in 2012-13 when she finished as second top scorer in a year that Bassett achieved promotion from Gloucestershire County Women’s League Division Two. After a spell away from the club in which she featured for FC Chippenham Youth and also went travelling, Elliott returned to Bassett for the 2017-18 and then played a vitally important role at the back end of Bassett's 2018-19 double-winning season, performing various roles exceptionally as her team earned promotion to the South West Regional Women’s Football League Premier Division. She then registered an impressive haul of seven goals in 14 appearances in 2019-20 and, after missing most of the 2020-21 campaign due to pregnancy and the birth of her son, returned to be a first team regular in 2021-22, playing 16 times and scoring twice. Last season Elliott netted five times in 19 games, scoring a hat trick in Bassett’s opening league win against Ilminster Town. Overall, since Bassett entered the South West Regional Women’s Football League in 2017-18, she has played 77 times, registering 14 goals.

Possessing pace, good technical skills and the ability to create chances, she is a player who has come through Bassett’s youth section. After spending a number of years playing mixed football, Green moved into girls’ football with Swindon Town, playing a key role in their Under 16s’ 2021-22 Wiltshire County Girls’ League double-winning and Under 18s’ 2022-23 Oxfordshire Girls’ League Cup winning sides.

Gulliver is another long-serving player, having initially joined in the 2016-17 season when Bassett finished as runners/up in Gloucestershire County Women’s League Division One. Winner of Bassett's Manager's Player of the Year award in 2017-18 as well as the Supporters' Player of the Year prize in 2018-19, Gulliver is an all-round athlete who has the ability to defend and attack excellently. Having previously been with Swindon Spitfires, Gulliver initially joined Bassett as a defender. However, she was moved into a more advanced role in 2019-20 and continued to deliver, scoring nine times in 14 appearances. Injuries limited Gulliver two seasons ago, but she still featured ten times, scoring three goals. She returned to fitness last season and was Bassett’s joint-leading appearance maker, scoring four goals in 23 games. Overall since Bassett entered the South West Regional Women’s Football League in 2017-18, she has played 89 times, registering 18 goals.

Morse is a promising young striker who initially joined Bassett at the back end of the 2021-22 season. After making two appearances that year, she featured nine times for Bassett last season, scoring two goals. Her first goal came in a 1-1 draw away at Poole Town while she also netted in Bassett’s eventful Wiltshire County Cup semi final against Durrington. Morse also spent time last year dual signed with FC Chippenham, registering an impressive seven times in ten appearances as they finished fourth in the Wiltshire County Women’s League.

Wood is a highly experienced coach who joined Bassett's managerial staff in January 2023. Initially assistant manager, he took over as manager in July. Most recently with Swindon Town where he managed the Robins' Under 16 squad before serving as joint-manager of their Development team, Wood has also spent time with Swindon Spitfires, Oxford City and Abingdon United. He was manager of Oxford City's Development team from 2015-17, leading them to a Thames Valley Counties League Cup crown (2015-16) and Division One title (2016-17). From there he moved to Abingdon, where he enjoyed a four year spell that came to an end in June 2021. His first season in charge was hugely successful as Abingdon won a league and cup double in the Thames Valley League, and also lifted the Berks and Bucks FA Junior Cup. Abingdon then secured a second consecutive promotion in 2018-19 as Wood helped his team climb from the Southern Regional Women's Football League Division One South (level six) into the Premier Division (level five).

Wood is a club stalwart who returned to the Women's First Team in a playing and coaching capacity two seasons ago. She is Bassett through and through, having started out in the club's youth section before featuring for the Women's side during their rise up through the divisions. Meanwhile, she also volunteers as a coach of the club's girls' teams and has played a significant role in expanding the number of teams Bassett now run. Wood has been rather unfortunate with injuries that limited her playing career, but two seasons ago she returned with great success, featuring in goal for Highworth Town, before deciding to focus on coaching. As well as playing in goal, she also played out on pitch when needed, possessing the ability to score goal of the season contenders - as evidenced by the winner she scored in Bassett's first ever Women's FA Cup victory against Cheltenham Civil Service in the 2013-14 season.

Fawcett joins Bassett as goalkeeper coach for this season. He has around a decade’s worth of coaching experience, with this primarily being in youth football. He has served as coach in the younger age groups with Swindon Town’s Community Foundation programme before moving to Wanborough Wasps where he has taken a team from Under 6s through to Under 11s. Despite having had brief spells in girls’ football, this is Fawcett’s first role in the senior women’s game.
